The Shilaoren (Old Stone Man) Sightseeing Garden is located on the only road from the urban area of Qingdao to the Laoshan Scenic Area. It is to the east of Hong Kong Road and covers an area of approximately 800 mu. Relying on the legend of the Old Stone Man, the sightseeing garden organically combines the beautiful scenery of nature, moving mythical tales and modern high-efficiency agricultural production. Each part has its own characteristics and they complement each other well. There are more than 160 kinds of natural plants, mainly including Chinese honey locust, Chinese scholartree, osmanthus, persimmon, green vine, catalpa, ginkgo, magnolia, peony, nandina and other varieties. The vegetation is well preserved and there are many rare species.
