The Xiaozhu Mountain Scenic Area is located in Qingdao City, situated between Huangdao District of Qingdao City and Jiaonan City of Qingdao. The Xiaozhu Mountain is a branch range that is an extension of the remaining veins of Laoshan Mountain stretching southwest across Jiaozhou Bay, and it is a granite mountain. It extends continuously within the territory of Huangdao District and Jiaonan City, with a width of 9 kilometers from east to west and a length of 15 kilometers from north to south, covering a total area of 35 square kilometers. The main peak, Dading, has an altitude of 725 meters. It stands facing the secondary peak, Nantianmen, in the north-south direction and is the highest peak in the southwest of Qingdao. Xiaozhu Mountain stands majestically on the coast of Qingdao and is famous for its unique beauty throughout the Jiaodong Peninsula.

In Xiaozhu Mountain, there are strange peaks and rocks such as the Great Rift Valley, Stone Forest, Heavenly Ladder, Heavenly Bridge, Waterfall Stone, and Devil's Cave. There is also the White Stone Cave that can accommodate hundreds of people. The undulating peaks of Xiaozhu Mountain present a colorful and varied scene, so it is also called the "Little Huangshan Mountain of Qingdao". The secluded valleys in the forest have the most beautiful scenery. There is soft and tender Zoysia japonica everywhere, spreading for several kilometers. In the valleys, there are trickling brooks. On the slopes, chestnuts, hawthorns, azaleas, sweet apricots, pomegranates and so on are planted all over, just like a paradise on earth.
