The Dazhu Mountain Scenic Area is located on the seashore in the southwest of Huangdao District, Qingdao City. Here, the peaks are lofty and the vegetation is lush. When you come here and climb up along the mountain trails, you can see all kinds of strange peaks and rocks, and visit ancient sites such as Shimen Temple and the grottoes with ancient Buddhist statues. When you are tired from walking, you can taste the sweet Yuquan water.

Spring is the most beautiful season in Dazhu Mountain. On the eve of the Qingming Festival, the cherry blossoms, peach blossoms and apricot blossoms already adorn the entrance of the valley with a riot of colors. By mid-April, the sea of azalea flowers all over the mountains and plains will offer you a visual feast. Hence, it is called "The First Mountain with Flying Red in Spring".
