Jimo Heshan is located in Jimo. It borders the Yellow Sea to the east and is a northern branch range of Laoshan Mountain. The main peak has an altitude of 223 meters. The landscapes are concentrated in the northern part.

This mountain is characterized by its winding paths, lofty and elegant appearance, as well as its strange springs and rocks. Near the mountain top, there are two huge rocks standing opposite each other from north to south, forming a natural gateway called the "Gate of Gathering Immortals". Heshan is a remaining range of Laoshan Mountain, and Taoist culture has a long history here. There are Taoist historical sites such as the Yuzhen Palace, the Laojun Furnace, the Touching-Money Brook, the Immortal-Ascending Platform and the Gate of Gathering Immortals. The natural landscapes include the Water-Sounding Heavenly Ladder, the Crane-Calling by Clapping Hands, the Rolling-Dragon Cave and the Thread-of-Heaven Gorge.

The main feature of the scenery of Heshan is the strange rocks. The mountain rocks are igneous rocks that slept on the seabed in a certain geological period. Due to the long-term erosion of the waves, once they emerged from the sea surface, they presented a wonderful spectacle of caves and rocks in various shapes. Standing on Heshan and looking eastward from a high place, the water and the sky seem endless, with the glistening waves and the shadows of sails, and the islands and reefs looming in the distance, adding infinite charm.

In spring, there are strange rocks and green trees here, with the fragrance of flowers and the singing of birds, presenting a charming and graceful scene. In summer, the mountain rocks are clean, with gentle breezes blowing and gurgling springs. Down the mountain, the blue sea is rippling, and there is a natural ten-li bathing beach for tourists to enjoy, and the soft sandy beach is a good place to rest. In autumn, the sky is high and the clouds are light. When the frost wind comes in the evening, there are clusters of beautiful chrysanthemums and patches of persimmon forests in various shapes, competing for beauty and emitting delicate fragrance that spreads in all directions. In winter, there is plenty of sunlight. It is cool but not cold. On snowy days when everything turns white, the green cypresses are covered with silver-like snowflakes, presenting a hazy and charming scene. On Heshan, people can enjoy the magnificent purple clouds and the sea of clouds that look like smoke or waves.

Heshan has a maritime monsoon climate. The days are sunny and the wind is gentle. The air is fresh. There is no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. It faces the sea and gets sunlight, with a mild climate (the annual average temperature is about 12 °C). It is moistened by rain and dew, and is often surrounded by clouds and mists, with unpredictable changes between sunny and cloudy weather. After a drizzle at the turn of spring and summer, the wonderful scene of "mirage" will occasionally appear.
