Huashi Building is located at the southern end of Badaguan in Qingdao. It is a beautiful European - style castle - like building with Gothic architectural features, attracting many tourists to take photos here. There is a staircase in the main building of Huashi Building leading to the top floor, from where you can have a panoramic view of the adjacent No. 2 Bathing Beach and the sea view in the distance.
Huashi Building was first built in 1930. It consists of a five - storey main building and a four - storey polygonal building. The whole building is made of marble, hence its name.
When stepping into Huashi Building, the rooms inside are delicate and compact, and it doesn't feel as huge as it looks from the outside. The rooms on the third and fourth floors have been turned into tourist souvenir sales departments, selling Laoshan stones and small models of old buildings in Qingdao. Of course, there are also models of Huashi Building, which are relatively expensive.
After walking out of Huashi Building, there are many Chinese roses planted in the courtyard, and ivy climbs up along the outer wall, making the whole Huashi Building more vibrant. It is also a filming location for many movies. The interior and exterior scenes of films and TV dramas such as "The Sacred Mission" were shot here.
