This seafood is really amazing. It even tastes better than what I had in Singapore. Overall, it's really good and delicious. If you have the budget, you guys can come and try the crabs. The price is not cheap, but they taste extremely good.
Horseshoe crab: One crab weighs a little over two catties and costs nearly 400 yuan. It's a bit cheaper than in Singapore. I ordered the Singaporean chili - style cooking. It was the slowest - served dish, but also the most satisfying one. It was served on a large plate and the shell had been cracked, which made it easier to eat. The cooking wasn't very authentic, but surprisingly, it tasted even better than the ones at Jumbo Seafood. There was just a little bit of spiciness to enhance the freshness. The crab meat wasn't salty and was very delicious. I especially like the claws of the horseshoe crab. The crab meat was firm, with an excellent taste. They were really big, and eating them was super satisfying.
Mantis shrimp: I ordered the boiled mantis shrimp. Mantis shrimp is actually what we usually call "Pipi shrimp". It's my favorite. Although it's not the season for it now, I'm still quite satisfied. The price here is a bit higher, but the quality of the seafood is good. There are both male and female mantis shrimps, with more males. There's a lot of meat and they taste great.
Spicy stir - fried Hongdao clams: When in Qingdao, I order clams for every meal. I love them so much. I've eaten at three or four different places in three days, and the clams here taste the best. They're well - seasoned, clean, and the price is not high. The cost - performance ratio is good.
Grandma's Hammered Mountain Eggplant: The eggplant was already hammered when it was served. Besides the eggplant, there were many other ingredients added, such as dried shrimps, crushed peanuts, preserved eggs, etc. Wrapping it in a pancake tastes extremely good, but it's a bit salty. Overall, the food here really tastes great. I really like it.
