Langya Terrace stands out among the surrounding mountains. King Goujian of the Yue State once moved his capital northward and settled here. The Langya Stone Inscription is one of the only two existing stone inscriptions from the Qin Dynasty in China. The Longwan Beach on the east side of Langya Terrace has fine sand and a flat beach, and there is a unique wonder of "dragon-shaped waves". Langya Terrace, Longwan under Langya Terrace, the coastal scenic belt around the terrace as well as the historical sites and natural scenery on Zhaitang Island in front of the terrace are all within the scope of this scenic area.
