Huadong Baili Winery, known as a "paradise on earth", is backed by the beautiful Laoshan Mountain Range in Qingdao and faces a seaside tourist resort. It is a "national industrial tourism demonstration site". Inside the Huadong Baili Winery, green grapevines crisscross each other, and various styles of sculptures are hidden among them.
The more than 2,000-meter-long wine culture corridor engraved with inspiring poems by literati of past dynasties stretches along Jiulongpo, forming a picture like that of an ancient European winery.
Mr. Michael Parry, from the UK, the founder of Qingdao Huadong Grape Wine Making Co., Ltd., after three years of investigation, established Huadong Baili Winery in Jiulongpo, Laoshan, Qingdao, where the terroir conditions are very similar to those of Bordeaux in France, in 1985.
It is the first top-notch green winery in China that integrates a series of industries such as grape planting, wine making, wine culture promotion, tourism and vacation, and sightseeing. It also brewed the first bottle of "single variety, origin, vintage" wine in China that won an award in France.
