The Qingdao Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located at No. 20 Zhiquan Road in Qingdao City. It lies on the southeast slope of Taiping Mountain in the urban area and is adjacent to the Zhanshan Temple. With an investment of 1.4 million yuan from the Qingdao Civil Affairs Bureau, its construction started in April 1977 and was completed in June 1981.
Covering an area of 26,200 square meters, it is the only commemorative garden in the urban area of Qingdao. The main buildings include the Martyrs Memorial Hall, the Exhibition Hall of Martyrs' Deeds and the office building for business materials. All the buildings are distributed on the three platforms opened up along the mountain slope. The Martyrs Memorial Hall is built in the center of the top platform. It is 14 meters high, 55 meters long, 23 meters wide, with an area of 1,709 square meters.
