The Second Bathing Beach in Qingdao, also known as Taipingjiao Bathing Beach and Shanhaiguan Bathing Beach, is located on the east side of Huiquan Cape within the Taiping Bay and the Badaguan Sanatorium Area in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Its address is No. 6, Shanhaiguan Road, Shinan District. It was first built in 1903. At the beginning of Germany's occupation of Qingdao, the German governor often hunted and swam here. Later, it was developed into a bathing beach. After the Chinese government regained Qingdao, it was named "The Second Bathing Beach".
The beach has a gentle slope, soft sand, small waves and clean water, with a large shore area. The sandy beach covers an area of about 17,000 square meters, and the swimming area within the shark - proof net is approximately 28,000 square meters. Along the beach are reddish - brown rocks, with precipitous cliffs as if cut by a knife. Black pine trees are planted all over the shore.
