St. Michael's Cathedral on Zhejiang Road in Qingdao, also known as the St. Michael Cathedral, is the largest Gothic building in the Qingdao area and the only consecrated church in China. The church was built from 1932 to 1934 and designed by German architect Biloha in accordance with Gothic and Roman architectural styles. It is constructed of yellow granite and reinforced concrete, with simple and beautiful patterns carved on its surface. The huge rose window above the main entrance is very eye - catching. There is a weekday Mass at 6 a.m. every day, and the Sunday Mass is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. every Sunday. The pipe organ is only used during the Sunday Mass.
