Jiaozhou Shaohai Wetland Park covers an area of 612.5 hectares, among which the wetland area is 513.9 hectares. Now its environment has been greatly improved and has attracted numerous wild birds. According to rough statistics, there are 160 species of birds in the park, and among them are many national key protected animals such as swans, red-crowned cranes, oriental white storks and greater white-fronted geese.
Through continuous improvement of the park's environment, Jiaozhou Shaohai Wetland Park has been approved as a "national-level" wetland park, which is also the first national wetland park in the Qingdao area.
