The former residence belonged to Wang Tongzhao, a famous writer who emerged during China's New Literature Movement. Mr. Wang had lived here ever since he settled in Qingdao in 1926. His poem "This Era", short stories like "Sound", the collection "Silver Dragon Anthology", prose collections such as "A Collection of Cloudy Pieces", "The Green Curtain of Tall Crops", and the renowned novel "Mountain Rain" were all created here.
