It was completed on May 10, 1932. It was designed by Kojiro Mitsui, a Japanese architect. With a total construction area of 2,000 square meters, it has a rectangular plane, two floors above ground and one floor underground. It faces the street on the southeast sides. The indoor hall covers an area of more than 650 square meters and is about 8 meters high. The entire Bank of Chosen building constructed by Okura Civil Engineering only has some elaborate carved stone decorations on the cornice at the top, while the large-area facade exterior walls are treated with fine horizontal concave lines.
In terms of composition techniques, it was influenced by Louis Sullivan of the United States. The whole building reflects the Japanese architectural style. After the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, this branch was taken over by the Qingdao Branch of the Central Bank of the Nationalist Government. Now it is the business premises of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
