Tianheng Island got its name because Tian Heng, the King of Qi, and his five hundred loyal followers would rather die than surrender and collectively committed suicide on this island.
The southern and northern slopes of Tianheng Island have completely different styles. The southern slope features alternating headlands and bays, with strange rocks and beautiful waters, making it an excellent place for fishing. The northern shore has clear water, deep bays and quiet harbors, which is an ideal venue for marine sports such as swimming, sailing and motorboating. Beautiful and unique natural landscapes are scattered all over the island. Scenic spots like the Divine Turtle Stone, the Old Immortal Cave and the Stone with a Human Face all have long and beautiful stories behind them.
When you come to the island, you may not be able to adapt to the expanse of greenery all at once. Standing on the marine bedrock reefs, the waves approaching from far to near splash and frolic at your feet, and the wet cuffs of your trousers are the marks of its affectionate kisses.
