Tiejue Mountain Scenic Area

The Qingdao Tiejue Mountain Scenic Area is densely forested, evergreen throughout the four seasons, and boasts numerous ancient and famous trees. The forest coverage rate reaches 95%. The ginkgo tree that is over 610 years old stands beside the Xuanguan Ancient Temple like a millennium-old couple accompanying each other. The "Ancestor of Chestnuts" with an age of over 400 years and the "King of Chinese Dates" that is hundreds of years old have multiplied from generation to generation, turning Tiejue Mountain into a mountain of fruits and flowers.

More than 100 kinds of plants such as azaleas, begonias, chestnuts, Chinese dates, willows, and cudrania tricuspidata are distributed in the thick forests on the mountain. The fragrance of fruits and flowers fills the air, and the thick foliage shades the sunlight. The content of negative oxygen ions in the forest is as high as 800,000 per cubic meter, making it a rare alpine natural forest bathing place in the Qingdao area. More than 20 kinds of wild protected animals and rare birds such as foxes, eagles, and egrets wander in the mountain forest, presenting a picture of natural harmony and primitive ecology.
