It is the first hilltop garden park in classical style in Qingdao City. This hill originally had no official name and later got the name of "Xiaoyushan" because it is close to Yushan Road.
Although the hill is not high, one can have a distant view from it. When climbing to the top and looking down, landscapes such as the Zhanqiao Pier, Little Qingdao Island, Lu Xun Park, the bathing beach, and Badaguan are all within sight.
There is a three-story octagonal pavilion named Lanchaoge on the top of the hill. It is about 18 meters high, with its roof covered by green glazed tiles. The scene of "red tiles and green trees, blue sea and clear sky" is highly representative.
