As a coastal city, Qingdao, with its beaches, sea breezes, tides, seafood... attracts countless people to come and look for the leisure of this floating life. Right outside Qingdao Railway Station is Zhanqiao Scenic Area immediately. If you come to Qingdao from January to March every year, then you will see flocks of seagulls, and 7 - 9 am should be the best time for viewing. The soft light in the early morning combined with the still - hungry seagulls hovering in flocks overhead is very spectacular.

Then you can walk along Zhongshan Road to St. Michael's Cathedral, which is a classic Catholic church. When we arrived, there was a small area nearby under construction. There were a lot of people, but it was not very photogenic. If you are not interested in the church, you can go to Yin Yu Alley first. There are a lot of characteristic small shops nearby and you can enjoy a period of citywalk time.

After that, go directly to Signal Hill Park. It is not very far. At Signal Hill Park, you can see the entire old urban area of Qingdao. There is a rotating observation deck on the top, from which you can overlook the old city of Qingdao in 360 degrees and feel the architectural style and the scenery of the old city.

After coming out of Signal Hill Park, you can go directly to Xiaoyu Hill, which is also a park. The difference from Signal Hill Park lies in the different proportions of architecture and coastal scenery. Signal Hill Park is full of red - roofed houses as far as the eye can see, and there is not much sea view that can be photographed. However, Xiaoyu Hill is close to the First Seawater Bathing Beach, and you can photograph the red - roofed houses in the old urban area as well as the sea view, which is very charming.

Not far from Xiaoyu Hill is Luxun Park. There are pine trees, blue sky and sea here, and if you walk further out, there are also red - brown rocks on the shore, which is very photogenic and has beautiful scenery.

Walking further south, there is a Qinyu Road, which is a seaside walkway. There is a bench under a pine tree, which is a filming location for film and television dramas. It has beautiful scenery and is very suitable for checking in.

Walking further forward, you will arrive at Xiaoqingdao Park. There is a Naval Museum next to it. It happened that Xiaoqingdao was closed that day. We were not able to visit successfully, and we didn't go to the museum either. Instead, we directly took a taxi to have a meal.
