Historical and Cultural Scenic Spots:
Zhanqiao Pier: Located at No. 12, Taiping Road, Shinan District, it is one of the iconic buildings in Qingdao and also the first modern artificial pier in Qingdao. It was first built in 1891 and has been expanded several times. It is 440 meters long and 10 meters wide. The pavilion at the end is Huilan Pavilion. When the lights come on at night, there is a beautiful scenery of "a long rainbow stretching far and a flying pavilion overlooking the surging waves". You can also feed seagulls and experience beachcombing in the surrounding area. It is open 24 hours a day and the admission is free.
Badaguan Scenic Area: Situated in the eastern part of Huiquan, Shinan District, eight roads are named after eight passes of the Great Wall. After the opening of the port, villas of different styles from more than 20 countries have been built here. It enjoys the reputation of the "Exhibition of Architecture from All Nations". It is suitable for taking a stroll and taking pictures on sunny days, and doing a Citywalk. It is open all day and free of charge.
Tsingtao Beer Museum: Located at No. 56, Dengzhou Road, Shibei District, it is built on the basis of a century-old factory building. In Hall A, you can learn about the historical development process of beer. In Hall B, you can visit the fully automated production line. Finally, you can taste fresh beer, which has a different taste from the beer on the market. The opening hours are from 8:30 to 16:30. The off-season ticket price is 50 yuan, and the peak-season ticket price is 60 yuan.
St. Michael's Church: Located in Shinan District, it is a European medieval-style building that combines Gothic and Roman styles. It was meticulously designed by the German architect Bi Luocha. The square in front of the church is a great place for dating. The ticket price is 10 yuan, and it is closed on Mondays.
Naval Museum: Located at No. 8, Laiyang Road, Shinan District, the museum showcases various aircraft, cannons, military uniforms and equipment. Visitors can also board decommissioned warships for a visit. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 (closed on Mondays). Reservations are required and the visit is free.
